Terms of Service.

Please read these terms carefully before submitting a booking. By proceeding with a booking you agree to these terms in full.

💳 Booking Fee

  • The booking fee is strictly non-refundable under all circumstances.
  • It covers round-trip courier transit via the Courier Guy locker and kiosk network, administrative processing, and expert laboratory diagnostics.
  • The booking fee is not a deposit on the repair — it is payment for logistics and diagnostic services rendered regardless of repair outcome.

🔬 No-Fix Policy

  • If a device is deemed completely unrepairable by our laboratory, the initial booking fee is retained to cover transit and diagnostic costs.
  • The device is returned to your designated Courier Guy locker or kiosk collection point at no extra charge.
  • R0.00 outstanding balance is owed in a no-fix outcome.

✅ Repair Approval

  • No physical repair work begins without your explicit written approval.
  • You will receive a transparent, flat-rate written quote after diagnostics.
  • You may decline any repair quote — in which case nothing further is owed beyond the initial booking fee and your device is returned.

🛡️ 6-Month Warranty

  • All completed repairs carry a 6-month warranty covering the exact components and circuit areas serviced by BGA Tech Labs.
  • The warranty is voided by: physical impact damage, liquid exposure, cracked silicon, cryptocurrency mining abuse, or broken tamper-evident lab seals.
  • The warranty does not cover faults unrelated to the specific repair performed.

⏱️ Estimated Timeline

  • Standard repairs: 2–3 weeks from receipt of device.
  • Sourcing local parts: Additional 4–7 business days.
  • International component imports: Additional 4–6 weeks. You will always be advised upfront if this applies.
  • Timelines are estimates and may vary. BGA Tech Labs is not liable for delays caused by courier, parts availability or unforeseen technical complexity.

⚠️ Liability & Risk Disclaimer

BGA Tech Labs accepts no liability for:

  • Pre-existing, hidden, or undisclosed faults not related to the repair performed.
  • Data loss — clients must back up all data prior to transit.
  • Consequential, business, or indirect financial losses of any kind.
  • Damage caused during transit resulting from inadequate or improper client packaging.
  • Faults developing post-repair that are unrelated to the specific circuit area or components serviced.

📦 Courier Transit & Unclaimed Devices

  • All devices are dispatched via the secure Courier Guy locker and kiosk network. Risk in transit is governed by standard carrier terms, provided the client uses robust protective packaging as per our packaging guidelines.
  • If a device is not collected within the Courier Guy standard 36-hour locker or kiosk collection window, the client will be liable for any return-to-lab fees and subsequent re-shipping charges.
  • Devices left uncollected at our lab for more than 60 days following final notification will be sold to defray storage and repair costs.

📦 Packaging Requirements

  • Hard outer cardboard box only — strictly no jiffy bags or envelopes.
  • Minimum 4 layers of thick bubble wrap per device.
  • Anti-static bag required for all bare boards (GPUs and motherboards).
  • Zero metal-on-metal contact between multiple devices.
  • All empty space must be filled so items cannot slide when the box is shaken.
  • Seal all outer edges with heavy packing tape.
  • Write your booking reference number clearly on the outside of the box.
  • Damage caused by inadequate packaging remains the sole responsibility of the client.

🔒 Privacy & Security

  • BGA Tech Labs operates as a fully private, closed workshop. No public walk-ins are permitted.
  • Client personal details are used solely for the purpose of processing your repair booking and are not shared with third parties.
  • All payments are processed via direct Bank EFT or Yoco secure card payment links. Official automated receipts are issued immediately upon payment confirmation.

📋 Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with a booking and making payment of the booking fee, the client confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service in full. These terms constitute the entire agreement between the client and BGA Tech Labs.
